To any future consumers - it's not a deal breaker, but just be aware that you're buying a work in progress, home brew piece of software, not a quality commercial product, no matter how mainstream you might think the Sindens have become.īecause I constantly had issues with the software, I made it my mission to have every game (if possible) not use the toggleable border, and instead used other ways to get a border.Īt first I really didn't want to do this, but after a few days of turning on the border and having it minimize my game, or attach to another window and basically not work at all, or realizing that some games go exclusive fullscreen and the border will never draw on top of it. It's buggy, the UI is a total mess, and I can not believe you have to have an instance open for each gun. Pretty disappointed with the software to configure it, customize it and activate the border. You can just tell that they are working well, vs the Aimtraks would be working fine and then. That part can be an arduous process (that I'll go into) but once it's done - beautiful. They are extremely good when you have them dialed in. I want to walk through some of the ups and downs, so someone looking to do the same can know what they're getting into. I really don't mind the borders just to get that out of the way. This was an effort to replace my Aimtraks that I found very buggy and unreliable for a cabinet setup, where friends and family of different sizes and appetite for jank made each experience pretty hit or miss. It took me about a month of working on it in just about every free moment I had. Finally (mostly) finished setting up my Sindens on my cabinet - getting all 46 lightgun games to work flawlessly.
